Be careful not to step on any area where you have applied wax. Remove all dirt and dust before waxing. With high quality stripping and waxing your flooring will remain clean shiny and attractive for years to come. For the best results have the vct stripped and waxed prior to moving furniture or people into the space ideally allowing a full 24 hours of cure time before it is walked on.

Once new vct is installed it must be properly stripped and waxed with at least two coats of wax applied. The concept behind this type of flooring is to never allow foot traffic to touch the floor. The most important thing to do after installation is wax the floors. Apply an acrylic topcoat sealant to the vct with a foam paintbrush.

If the floor is properly waxed foot traffic will only walk on the wax. Allow the acrylic to dry for the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer.
